Hold on to your energy efficiency ambitions - now more than ever!

Stormy times.Corona has arrived. Private individuals, public institutions and companies are facing a variety of challenges. At times, there is a sense of crisis. At the same time, however, every crisis holds an opportunity. This also applies to energy management. Don't let Corona mislead you. Use your opportunity for greater energy efficiency. Now more than ever!

The Energy Efficiency Index is published every six months, most recently in July 2020, with interesting results. The Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production EEP at the University of Stuttgart, together with the German Energy Agency (dena), the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Fraunhofer IPA, TÜV Rheinland and a number of other partners, surveyed 850 companies from over 20 sectors on the subject of energy efficiency. The results show that energy efficiency is actually gaining in importance for many of the companies surveyed. 70 % of the participants questioned stated that the pandemic either has no effect on their current energy efficiency strategy or even leads to the expansion or early implementation of the associated measures. Medium-sized and large companies in particular are expanding their efforts in the Corona crisis. What about your energy efficiency goals?

The economic aspect is clearly the focus of the efforts. Don't let Corona mislead you and use your opportunity for greater energy efficiency. Now more than ever!

Energy efficiency index provides interesting insight

Medium-sized and large companies in particular are expanding their efforts in the Corona crisis. What is your situation?

The economic aspect is clearly the focus of efforts. On the one hand, the energy efficiency measures are intended to reduce cost risks and, on the other hand, to achieve long-term economic benefits.

The conditions are favourable

Often, due to difficult external circumstances, losses of revenue cannot be avoided.  Companies struggle with lower turnover, and the public sector lacks tax revenue. It makes sense to try to reduce costs in such cases. In the field of energy efficiency, this sometimes means investing first - but the return on investment usually comes within only a few months or years. In addition, the money for investment can be obtained very cheaply. Moreover, investments in energy efficiency measures, including the purchase of energy management software, are currently being promoted more than ever before. They benefit from generous grants and low-interest loans. Do not be discouraged by the current external circumstances. Don't drop the sails. Instead, keep your medium and long-term goals in mind. Take the chance to invest in more energy efficiency and you will save costs in the long term and in a comprehensible way.

Let us discuss the possibilities and next steps for more energy efficiency.

Now full speed ahead in energy management.
